CYNTHIA DUPONT BEAUDOIN (AGE 67)
Cynthia Dupont Beaudoin, 67, of Silver Spring, Maryland, died suddenly on Thursday, April 17, 2014. She was born in Manchester on November 5, 1946, the daughter of the late Roland and Anne (Zanis) Dupont and has resided in Silver Spring since 1994. She graduated from Notre Dame College in Manchester, receiving her masters in biology from Northern Illinois University and has an advanced science certificate in Hazardous Waste Management from University of California at Santa Cruz. Mrs. Beaudoin taught for ten years in the Montgomery County Public Schools, Maryland, prior to retiring in 2013. She loved teaching and working with chronically ill and special needs students. Additionally, she was an instructor at Montgomery College-Rockville Campus, teaching in the Gateway to College Program and the Workforce Development and Continuing Education Program. She was an active member of her church, St. John the Baptist, where she was an Eucharistic minister. An artist, she worked in watercolor and oils, participating in juried art exhibitions. Mrs. Beaudoin was a native French speaker, cherished her Greek and French heritage and enjoyed researching and studying Native American Indian art and culture. She had a love of animals and was an avid swimmer, skier and gardener. Family members include one son, Richard R. (Christine) Beaudoin, of Colonia, New Jersey; two brothers, Steven J. Dupont of Hancock, NH and the late David (Diane) Dupont; and two nephews Jeffery and Thomas Dupont. There will be a Memorial Reception on Saturday, April 26th from 3:00 until 5:00 with a Memorial Service at 4:00 at Phaneuf Funeral Homes, 250 Coolidge Ave., Manchester, NH. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. PETER B. FISHER
On Sunday, March 30, 2014 of Kensington, MD. Beloved husband of Mary McGregor Fisher for 34 years; father of Patrick (fiancé Leah Legere) and James Fisher; brother of Gordon, John, Tom, and Paul Fisher; son of the late James and Kathleen Fisher; son-in-law of Mary Grace and the late William J. McGregor; also survived by many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and close family friends. He passed away after a long and hard fought battle with lung cancer. A native of Silver Spring, MD, Peter graduated from St. John’s College High School in Washington, D.C. After graduation he attended The University of Notre Dame completing studies in Civil Engineering, before obtaining his Master’s Degree from George Washington University. He then entered the working world at Bechtel Corp. and ultimately ended up as the Supervisor of Construction for the Catholic Diocese of Arlington, VA; a position that he has held for 28 years. Peter loved and was devoted to his work for the church until his death. He took pride in knowing that his work played an important role in bringing others into the Catholic faith community. Among the things most important to Peter was a strong family life and he leaves behind those who he loved most with cherished memories of the time spent together and the values of faith and family.
